The Frontend Kit is part of the Bosch Digital Design System. It is a pattern library implemented in HTML, CSS and JS which can be used in Web Frontend projects.

Feature requests and bug reports about the Frontend Kit, can be submitted directly to the digital expert team via Jira. Please check the process with more details.

What is the Frontend-Kit

The Frontend Kit was created for web development projects, that create a website or web application and are based on the design specified in the Bosch Brand Guide. It is a collection of all core components of the [Bosch Bosch UI Kit](https://brandguide.bosch.com/bdds), which can be used for various projects, e.g.:

  • Static Sites
  • Sites which are built with a Content Management System like First Spirit
  • Single Page Application

Application area

The Frontend Kit was created for web development projects, that create a website or web application and are based on the design specified in the Bosch Brand Guide. Please note that currently, there is no Frontend Kit for native apps, though usage in Hybrid Apps might still be possible.


Light and Dark Mode

All components are available in light and dark mode. The usage of dark mode is not mandatory.

Basics are the unique styles defining the Frontend Kit.

Atoms are the smallest building blocks.

Molecules are two or more atoms group together.

Organisms are groups of molecules and/or atoms.
